Chmielna 25
The building symbolises the revival of Chmielna Street as a prestigious downtown street. Designed as an office and commercial facility by the well-known Bulanda Mucha – Architekci sp. z o.o. studio. It is modern, bold and innovative. The rhythmic, wavy structure of the front of the building emphasises its relationship with the surroundings, breaking the existing frontage scheme. Glass, aluminium and night-time illumination distinguish the building from its surroundings, but at the same time, it integrates into the adjacent architecture through its subdued colours and building line. The curved panes of the front wall reflect the sky, bringing light into the narrowing street. Also inside the building, an element connecting all storeys is a luminous, glazed atrium, whereas the top storeys of the building open up to the surroundings with spacious terraces. Chmielna 25 meets the highest executive and ecological standards. The building has been awarded a gold Leed certificate. It was nominated for the Prize of the Association of Polish Architects.
